Ravikovitch biography
Israeli poet Dahlia Ravikovitch, born Dahlia Ravikovitch is considered one of the great Hebrew language poets of the 20th century. She was born in Ramat Gan, a suburb of Tel Aviv. Her father’s death when she was six was a formative experience; after his death, her mother moved the family to Kibbutz Geva and married a kibbutz worker.
Born in 1936, in Well-known poetess Dahlia Ravikovitch () was born in Ramat Gan, Israel, and after her father’s death, was sent to live on a kibbutz. She studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and later worked as a journalist, high school teacher and translator of poetry as well as children’s books.
